Discovering Chaumet

If we love jewelry with a story, you can imagine our sentiment towards a house that boasts more than two hundred and thirty five years of emperors, queens, popes, and tycoons, simply anybody who has ever been somebody. Great originality, opulence and beauty dominate each design. Every piece transmits the incredible amount of labor and detail that goes into it, and it manages to humble the spectator as it empowers the bearer.

Last night, we pleasantly witness Chaumet’s latest collection “La Nature de Chaumet”. The Parisian high jewelry house pays tribute to nature by telling a story through four main themes: the laurel, the ear of wheat, the oak and the lily. They are all attributes of the gods in classical mythology and the final outcome is the stuff suitable for gods, extravagant tiaras and convertible earrings.

We are looking forward to experiencing the glorious emblematic blue in their flagship store in Place Vendome No.12, Paris where the finer things in life abound, but yesterday’s setting at Emirates Golf Club was nothing short of effortless elegance. Exquisite food and pleasant companionship were paired with a station where you would crown yourself by designing your own flower tiara. Dubai’s concrete juxtaposed with fields of green perfectly highlighted Chaumet’s basic designing concept: nature is neither benevolent nor malevolent, it simply is.
