DIY 1st Tooth Celebration

If you think you are patient, have a child. A teething baby will make sure you rediscover what perseverance really is. I’m even starting to think that all the pain and crankiness involved might be the root of why some cultures around the world celebrate a baby’s first tooth. The moment I saw Carl’s first tooth pushing through his baby gum line I was both ecstatic (every parent celebrates their child’s milestone as if no one has ever achieved anything similar and family WhatsApp groups are flooded with photos and heart emogis) and relieved (it meant that his fussiness was more than justified and it wasn’t just a grumpy personality in the making!) DIY Baby Chocolates

A new mini human recently joined the team, (if you’ve been following this space you probably read about it HERE) and his arrival prompted some welcoming treats. Of all the DIY projects we’ve shared here on the blog, this is by far our favorite and for obvious reasons. I had one thing clear: baby blue, bears, and crowns were not going to be part of it. DIY Embellished Headpiece

Headbands add the perfect finishing touch to any hairstyle. We personally like them with a certain twist. Our latest DIY is simple but striking and allows you to reuse buttons you love but no longer need from worn-out shirts or old jackets. You can choose any plain headband (prints can also work) and add any embellishments you think will make it pop. It is really easy to make and it only takes a little bit of patience and creativity! Give it a go and let us know how it goes! Continue reading “DIY Embellished Headpiece”

DIY Miu Miu Flats

And we are back at it! This time we are showing you how to create the highly coveted ballerinas that Miu Miu launched this year. You sure can buy the original design, or Zara’s multiple replicas (we’ve bought a couple already) but once you start transforming things yourself you will realize that building something with your hands grants you a satisfying feeling a store-bought item won’t. Contrary to popular believe, DIY is not always about saving money. It is about the effort, the sense of completion and personal touch. And you can always tell someone after they’ve complimented it that you did it yourself! Continue reading “DIY Miu Miu Flats”

DIY Beach Kimono

Art has always been associated with crafts. Working with your hands to create something is simply gratifying and to be able to wear or use your creation later on even more so. Ever since we started sharing DIY posts, we received a lot of positive feedback so we have decided to create a category exclusively for our DIY posts! (You can find it in our home page next to ABOUT US section) In that way and when your artsy mood kicks in, you can directly go back to all DIY tutorials. Continue reading “DIY Beach Kimono”

DIY Tassel Earrings

Tassels have always been up on our favorite accessory list, even before they were as popular as they are today. Back in the days when we were designing our own line that you can reminisce about HERE , we used love the colorful and flowy effect that tassels can instantly add to just about anything. Out there there’s a tassel in your preferred hue, size, and material and following this easy steps below will allow you to transform them into your summer’s go-to earrings. DIY Pom Pom Hat

If there’s a season to undertake DIY projects, then it must definitely be summer! A few posts back we shared our love for the Pom Pom sandals and given the happiness that it created we decided to share this customizing passion of ours again but this time by partnering up with our dear friend Elsa from Elsaolaccessoire.com. Her appetite for colors is only topped by her love for fruits, which she now happens to have a head full of, literally! You can check her take on the most loved summer item, the straw hat, on her latest blog post HERE.

DIY Pom-Pom Sandals

You’ve probably already seen how pom-poms are being attached to just anything from key chains to hats. You probably own some and love them. But we are especially fond of the miniature version of those fluffy woollen balls when they are being added to sandals. We’ve previously used them together with tassels on our line of bracelets and necklaces but this time we wanted to share how easy it can be to transform any shoes you already have into the colorful Spring item you are most probably going to be wearing this season.

We Heart Unique

If you have been following us for a while, you probably already know our unending love affairs with sneakers. We will choose them over any other footwear any time, any day. So you can imagine our excitement when our fellow bloggers and friends, Elsa of Elsa O L’Accessoire and Souzana of BubbleGumFashionFace kicked off their IHeartUnique collaboration with Superga.
