DIY Pom-Pom Sandals

You’ve probably already seen how pom-poms are being attached to just anything from key chains to hats. You probably own some and love them. But we are especially fond of the miniature version of those fluffy woollen balls when they are being added to sandals. We’ve previously used them together with tassels on our line of bracelets and necklaces but this time we wanted to share how easy it can be to transform any shoes you already have into the colorful Spring item you are most probably going to be wearing this season.

The Skirt Alt

Culottes have a subtle way of saying I was going to wear a skirt but I can’t be bothered. They sit high up on the waist giving all those cropped tops we love a pairing chance while accentuating the waistline. Their roomy structure and cropped hemline show off just about the right amount of leg to parade those beloved flats or statement heels. Continue reading “The Skirt Alt”

Natural High

Whenever you tell someone you are traveling to Amsterdam, they directly gift you their wildest smirks and probably wish you a very high time. It is certainly the city of freedom where the illegal and prohibited elsewhere is pleasantly accepted and encouraged. But apart from all the cannabis coffee shops and the buzzing red light district, Amsterdam is a city rich in culture. Continue reading “Natural High”

House of Rings

When the brain half rejects all the images going through your eyes but is still able to spot and engrave deep in your memory a ring worn by a random stranger as she walks past you in Starbucks, you know you have an obsession. It is a fixation to which you have dedicated yourself for so long, you no longer remember how it began. Continue reading “House of Rings”

Behind the Lens

Her fashion sense is the visual equivalent of a diet that cuts out junk food and lives on the excess of pineapples. She twists and turns trends of today, yesterday and a few decades back to create her very own style. You just have to check out her blog to see that if it’s predictable, she won’t wear it. Wild Birthday

Birthdays are the days when I guess most of us would remove people from our Facebook friends list, because as the notification of “It’s John Smith’s birthday today. Send him good thoughts!” pops up, we realize we don’t know who John is, we either genuinely forgot, vaguely remember or for whatever reason simply aim to undo the act of adding or accepting him as a friend. Yesterday’s birthday notification on people’s screens had my name on it and I was happy to find out that the awesome friends I care about took the time to write and wish me a great day. And for that I am thankful. Continue reading “Wild Birthday”

NEW FEEL

How does it feel? Pretty much like that new hair cut, expensive bag bought on discount, the first bite out of your ice cream and meeting up with your bed after a long day, all happening in that same day, a Friday probably.

Yes, we are happy! We retouched the blog, injected it with new life by simply changing some tiles and painting the walls, all while making friends on blog forums as we discuss why widgets don’t always work. Continue reading “NEW FEEL”

Reviving Clothes

The first badge we remember wearing was that of our school uniform, royal blue SJT initials resting on an impeccable white background, complemented by three stars.Fast forward a couple of decades and we are back to wearing badges but this time with more colors, a dozen of stars and a tribute to another place that has taught us a lot, Beirut.

The girl in the Bandana

Everyone has one, two or few pieces, carefully stacked in their closet, that have been worn decades ago and will probably be worn again. If you do, your fashion life has been well lived! When the virtuous circle grants us the opportunity to celebrate classic items like the traditional paisley-patterned bandana, we rejoice at the possibility of wearing a long lost item and probably correcting any fashion decision we might have done in the past using all the inspiration we have gathered since then.
