Savage Beauty

Little can be said that hasn’t already been said about the most coveted designer of the 21st century. Passed all the praises and curses, Alexander McQueen remains one of the most celebrated fashion minds in the industry and his contribution is still felt. We consider him a great storyteller that replaced words with clothes. During his prolific nineteen-year career, McQueen lost everything but his talent for creating beautiful clothes.

His dramatic view of life is strikingly contained in an exhibition dubbed Savage Beauty that portrays his early works as a Central Saint Martin’s postgraduate student to his final runway presentation that took place after his death. London was his great love and how right it is to visit his work in the place he called home. Among all the exotic garments, disturbing prints, and contradicting messages that one is bound to find, the real work of art to be admired will be his ingenious mind.
