Most of the time we spend in our outwear clothes, we are moving. Yet how beautiful are the moments when we stand still and they still move? Summer gentle winds are a plus but no need for a breeze when some items can be striking enough to move us in total stillness.A colorful scarf wrapped around your bag or a top with unpredicted cuts are few of the many items we can add to make an outfit unique. SuperGala
Risking it being mispronounced, misspelled or misunderstood, we still named the blog Sunset de Amor. To remain true to ourselves, we decided it should have a Spanish word. If language is the road map of a culture, then Spanish is definitely a shortcut. Continue reading “SuperGala”
Discovering who I AM

Shirts and Skirts
A plain shirt is the perfect match to any printed skirt. By looking at the different tones of any print, it is easy to spot which color is calling for attention. Particularly in this skirt, navy blue was the shy frontrunner and it felt only natural to add a classic denim twist.

This Skirt
Never been a ballerina but now fashion gave us grown ups the chance to relive our childhood dreams by taking out our Tutu skirts. For a while now the fashion scene has been flooded with the fluffy tulle skirts paired with high heels but it wasn’t until I came across this skirt that I gave in. The modest tulle beautifully falls over the tight skirt beneath giving you the chance to dress it up or down and become a ballerina or a punk queen!

Poncho Flashback
Growing up in South America is something. Tropical weather, Caribbean tides, and the infinite days of sunshine that make people smile, instantly. But some places are actually cold, so cold that they were home to winter garments like the Poncho. Since last fall, it has been invading the runways and people have adopted this typical Hispanic large sheet of fabric to keep themselves warm without risking comfort or movement. Just the perfect layering potential. Sun or no sun, we couldn’t be happier!

Power Tights
Tights have the beauty of turning almost any item into a winter wardrobe. Some shorts, skirts and even dresses are kept at hand in our closets because we simply know that they can be transformed as colder days approach. Colors are no exception and how refreshing it is to find that popping top that keeps out the cold while reminding us of the sunnier summer days.

No Resolutions
Tomorrow is the last day of this year. We’ve had our share of beautiful moments and some others that did not make it to our page of love, where we only talk about what heightens our spirits. For everything, we are thankful. We will not make resolutions. We have discovered that the best things we have accomplished, we didn’t even know we were accomplishing. We won’t set goals and judge our selves upon completion. The world is already busy doing that on our behalf. We will only hope that like this outfit, we get to experience a year of harmony between the good and the not so good that is prone to happen. The dark instants and the pink moments, we will embrace it all and make it look like it perfectly works. Happy New Year!

Failing to Fall
Just when we think fall has taken control, the sun starts shining so bright that wearing your favorite shade of yellow is not only allowed but also encouraged. Warm-mornings and cool-nights definitely call for a coat at hand and a dash of color that will never fail to wow.

Let’s Bow
A bow tie is to fashion what salt is to cooking, the ingredient that can make all the difference! It is by far the most versatile accessory you can have in your closet and no matter what shape or color you decide to wear, it will always pop up as the central piece of your outfit. We particularly love how the black leather skirt and denim shirt are tastefully harmonized by the magic of this black bow!
