Over two years ago, the very first post we shared on the blog was about accessories, our very own accessories handcrafted with love, a pinch of color and lots of illusion. Numerous collections have been created year after year ever since the start in 2006 and everything seems different yet the same. While trends and materials might change, the passion and exhibitions are a constant. Continue reading “Back to Beginnings”
We Heart Unique
If you have been following us for a while, you probably already know our unending love affairs with sneakers. We will choose them over any other footwear any time, any day. So you can imagine our excitement when our fellow bloggers and friends, Elsa of Elsa O L’Accessoire and Souzana of BubbleGumFashionFace kicked off their IHeartUnique collaboration with Superga. We had the chance to play shoe dress up and create our very own pair. Let us know what you think!
Collaboration with Esposa Group
It’s the season! Bachelorettes, pre-wedding dinners, crammed hair-and-makeup appointments, not to mention the now famous destination weddings! No matter how many you attend, the first question your colleagues and friends always manage to ask is: How did the bride look? What about her dress? The trends come and go but one thing that is as important as it has always been is the bride’s dress. And the efforts to find the perfect one start almost a year ahead!
We are always excited by the countless possibilities of every day wear but let’s face it, a wedding day is one of the big days so when ESPOSA approached us to feature our favorite looks we were thrilled! We directly fell in love with the beautiful array of luxury designer dresses like Carolina Herrera, Rosa Clara, Lazaro, Marchesa, Monique Lhuillier, to name a few.
Even for those who are not fashion addicts, choosing a dress for that day will make you one! They say the bride directly knows when she finds the perfect dress. Well, we think that the wide range of beautiful gowns available at ESPOSA will make it a bit harder!

Last Night in Beirut: Dina JSR Boutique Opening
It is always gratifying to see outstanding talents. It is even more gratifying to see that these talents are Lebanese. Our latest designer crush: Dina JSR. Last night we got the chance to discover her fifth collection, Crystal Waters, in her new boutique in Saifi Village, Beirut. It has a showroom, a workroom and magic, lots of magic. Designed in Beirut, handcrafted in France, Dina JSR collections thrive in delicacy and elegance. While we enjoyed light snacks, good music and sweet ice-cream, we were stunned by Dina’s contagious passion towards her creations. Her inspiration for this latest collection was her very own wedding six months ago. She envisioned what she would have loved for people to be wearing on that special day and transformed it into a flowing collection of light blues, diluted pinks and purples, and warm limes. Her collections are already available in prestigious stores around the globe, but we can’t but feel proud that no matter where our talented people go,they always manage to come back home.
Location: Saifi Village, Georges Haddad Avenue- Nahas Bldg, Ground Floor.

We will Always Have Paris
Paris Fashion week comes to an end. We enjoyed going to the chicest supermarket but discovering what Nicolas Ghesquière had in store for his debut collection in Louis Vuitton was as refreshing and impactful. Change is good. Once again we are left wondering what is really “in” for the coming Fall. And once again, we will start at the end, cherish the beauty of the past, look forward to the future palettes and enjoy the spirit of the present while contemplating our favorite looks! What was your favorite moment of the Parisian week?
Collaboration with Something Blue
There are two important choices a bride will have to make regarding her wedding: Whom to marry and What to wear. Choosing the groom should be easy if only you follow your heart…but the dress. Oh my! And here is where you thank your lucky starts for a place like Something Blue. We previously shared our thoughts regarding this beautiful bridal boutique in the heart of Beirut HERE. But it was only a couple of weeks ago where we got to experience the real wedding frenzy. Cynthia Nakhle, owner of Something Blue, approached us and some fellow bloggers to play bride-to-be for a day. And we loved it! Guided by Cynthia’s advice, each one of us chose a gorgeous dress. It was definitely easier than expected. She certainly made it fun, effortless and entertaining. It was also amazing to work with photographer Mokhtar Beyrouth and the spontaneity he welcomed while shooting at the beautiful boutique in Gemmayze.
With Tracy from Fashion to Tracy and Elsa from Elsa O. L’Accessoire
Maya from Playing with Fashion, Cynthia Nakhle, and Karla from The Style Concierge
Roya and Tatiana from Chocolate And Vanilla Soles, Dalia from The D Scoop and Sandrine from The Closet Clause
Lana from L’armoire de Lana, Cynthia and Elsa.
Our advice: don’t just hit any store and wait for the dress to fall on your lap. Make sure you attend shops like Something Blue where you will feel at ease with the person attending you, where you will get the knowledgeable advice and most importantly, where you are bound to find a dress that will make your special day as memorable as it should be.

Last Night in Beirut: La Rose de Sim Opening
Last night we were heading to Zalka-Beirut to presence what we already knew was going to be a great night for our friend Rajaa. It was the official opening of his shop: La Rose de Sim. It was his invitation to step into a time machine and go back to iconic times. Before even walking into the shop, you get a hint that the designs are inspired by the Lebanese tradition and heritage. There are a wide range of purses that come in all sizes and portray different attractive visuals. Just as the name of the brand, every creation has a story that is bound to touch your heart.
You can check more pictures of La Rose de Sim here on Facebook and on their Instagram @larosedesim.
This is it
Here we are. After a long time of talking, dreaming and some more talking about opening a blog, here we are. Life gets busy and crazy and it’s so easy to get caught up on the little things. But today we finally start 🙂
We have decided our first post to be about something very dear to our hearts: G accessories.
We will not start bragging about it like proud parents do (for your own safety because we really won’t stop talking!) We will just tell you that we love it, and that we are passionate about it and that is why we love exhibitions like Afkart. In collaboration with Beirut Design week, Afkart is organizing in Beirut Souks an exhibition, from the 26th to 30th June, where people can have a look at the wonderful and unique creations of designers from across the Middle-East.
It’s a great way to meet up with friends, new people and get direct feedback of what we do. It starts tomorrow at 6PM! Here are some pics of exclusive items we will be displaying.
G accessories…we made it from scratch. Just like each necklace and charm bracelet is carefully put out together from bits and pieces, we aim to put this blog together. Post by post, picture by picture, we hope to build something that will highlight the beauty of everything that comes our way, from people and places to fashion and events. Hope we get to see you often!
Salma & Ginan
P.S: regarding the blog, excuse any missing design, icons or the like. It’s like a new house. It needs a bit of paint here, some couches there, but you still love it because its home..
