Shirts and Skirts

A plain shirt is the perfect match to any printed skirt. By looking at the different tones of any print, it is easy to spot which color is calling for attention. Particularly in this skirt, navy blue was the shy frontrunner and it felt only natural to add a classic denim twist.

This Skirt

Never been a ballerina but now fashion gave us grown ups the chance to relive our childhood dreams by taking out our Tutu skirts. For a while now the fashion scene has been flooded with the fluffy tulle skirts paired with high heels but it wasn’t until I came across this skirt that I gave in. The  modest tulle beautifully falls over the tight skirt beneath giving you the chance to dress it up or down and become a ballerina or a punk queen!

Black or Grey

It is either black or grey. No matter how much we love colors, winter does that to our wardrobe. And we do love it, especially when the texture is what makes the items pop.  Wearing the iconic Adidas Stan Smith’s while throwing in some dash of color makes us feel like we are taking the tennis courts to the streets!

A Man’s World

Most of our wardrobe is full of pieces that originally belonged to men. The most fast-rising fashion success stories belong to men. And sometimes we even dress for them. Yet matching outfits and dressing up is an exclusive female pursuit. Mixing up odd items like sneakers, leather leggings and tuxedo-like-gilet reminds us that we can take anything we are given, and make it perfectly work.

Poncho Flashback

Growing up in South America is something. Tropical weather, Caribbean tides, and the infinite days of sunshine that make people smile, instantly. But some places are actually cold, so cold that they were home to winter garments like the Poncho. Since last fall, it has been invading the runways and people have adopted this typical Hispanic large sheet of fabric to keep themselves warm without risking comfort or movement. Just the perfect layering potential. Sun or no sun, we couldn’t be happier!

Sweet Grunge

Even before sneakers were having a fashion moment, we were avid lovers of the trend and would wear them all week and weekend long. Now that it has become a statement we couldn’t be happier!! No need to drop your skater skirt or look like you are heading to the gym, just pair them together and enjoy a sports -luxe look!

Blocking It

The beauty of color blocking lies in its surprise effect. At first, it might seem odd to pair an orange skirt with an electric blue top but once you see it, everything makes perfect sense! You can also let the bold accessories and shoes do the talking!

Midiskirting

Longer than right-below-the-knee, shorter than a maxi skirt. So wrong it’s right! The midi skirt has gained some serious reputation and even though it comes in multiple textures and prints we decided to try it out in a simple classic hue. Add a color pop bag and shoes for an instant spring update!

High Time

High- waisted shorts, Up-tied shirt with a knot…even the tiles behind me will be going up our summer house roof by the end of month (hopefully). I love high waist shorts but usually find trouble matching it with a top. In this case, the up-tying shirt trend that is picking up lately made it super easy! It was high time..
