It really ROCKS

And then there’s that obligatory photograph. We go gathering pictures all over the world posing next to just anything and often forget to take that emblematic photo in our very own country. So I thought what better place than next to the Raouche rock ( also known as Pigeon rock). Beirut’s natural wonder rising from the sea definitely rocks!

The Boyfriend and the Jeans

Fashion isn’t usually down with function but when it comes to denim, comfort always creeps its way into the equation. Its washed out and worn in, slouchy and restful. No matter which way you chose to style your denim, the best part is that you’ll be super comfy while still looking effortlessly stylish.

Last Night in Beirut: Exclusive BCBGMAXAZRIA Store Reopening

We have been pretty excited about BCBGMAXAZRIA revamping its Beirut store. After months of being closed for renovation, BCBG is back! And the wait was definitely worth it. Staying true to its name “Bon Chic Bon Genre”, BCBGMAXAZRIA ‘s renovated store has a very chic feel with a predominantly white color scheme that really serves as an ideal backdrop to the mostly black and bright colors of its new clothing line. It now looks way more spacious, elegant, and fresh. Aside from the gorgeous evening gowns and cocktail dresses that are particular of BCBG, a wide selection of striking eye-catching accessories can be found. As you can see from the pictures below, not only the store but the clothes’ selection has taken a whole new direction, one we are eager to follow!

Store Location: 2 Park Avenue, Beirut Central District-Lebanon

Colors of Love

“It’s your light bulb relationship. On. Off. L (Lebanon) is the one you break up with once, twice, three times. The one you say you’ll never go back to. The one with the irreconcilable differences…You’re not sure of the future, but you really want to stay. When people ask you why you’re still in it, you’re not really sure you have an answer. All you know is that when it’s good, it’s so damn great”

This is Dyala Badran’s (It’s Deebatable blog) relationship with Lebanon. Spot-on. This is everyone-living-in-Lebanon kind of relationship. We’d love to hate it. We hate to Love it. But then we come across guys like DIHZAHYNERS, we light up a bit and say maybe we should try one last time.

They best describe themselves as a team of inspired, driven and passionate artists/designers, aimed at creating initiatives to make Beirut brighter and more beautiful, through color. You can see from the pictures below  that they have certainly succeeded in reshaping some neighborhoods in Beirut and hopefully uplifting the way people feel about their community. Love the initiative and really hope that this movement widely spreads over all of Lebanon and make us feel that there is still a chance for us to be colorfully happy with our first love.

Sun Kissed

We are right in the thick of the roasting summer season. And we Love it! But sometimes I miss layering and the movement it adds to any outfit. These past days have been exceptionally hot but luckily enough an escape to the mountains is not far away. The faded light-blue vest adds the needed playful touch to an outfit kissed by the sun and already in love..

NEW Thinking

When I first moved back to Lebanon, sneakers were only used to do sports or go to the supermarket. Whenever I wore mine, I would get the typical “Are you going to the gym”? when all I wanted was just a relaxed look and chilled-out outfit. Long gone are the days. Sneakers have become a fashionable item that, if you dare, will look good with a skirt. I am particularly happy about New Balance comeback and the Neon colors that came with it!

Keeping It Simple

I will never master the art of packing. Long weekend ahead and I am always left with the eternal “What I am going to wear”?! And that’s where you go back to basics and wear denim shorts with a black top. I love how the sleeves add the necessary movement to the outfit so it doesn’t fall into the boring trap. I paired it up with the golden three: bag, ballerinas and necklace.

Just Doing It

I love Nike. It’s just one of those brands you can’t recall falling in love with. I don’t remember when I acknowledged its existence, all I know is I have always loved everything about it, from its motivational ads to its fond relationship with my Barcelona football team.

Occasionally, I am lucky enough to do some jogging in Ehden. It takes my breath away and most of the time literally! (1500 m above sea level). Lately, I also came across Nike Training Club app. I really recommend you check it here.  Nike’s claim: Your personal trainer. Anytime. Anywhere.

Blue Mirror

The army trend is over. Not too sad since I was never a lover. But this shirt has character, the splashes of blue and the golden embellished shoulder pads definitely raise its rank. My most used artillery these days? Blue mirror Raybans! Now this trend is everywhere but I am certainly not close to being over it.

High Time

High- waisted shorts, Up-tied shirt with a knot…even the tiles behind me will be going up our summer house roof by the end of month (hopefully). I love high waist shorts but usually find trouble matching it with a top. In this case, the up-tying shirt trend that is picking up lately made it super easy! It was high time..
