They say actions speak louder than words but then again, without words we wouldn’t know that we have to take action. It is with this notion in mind that Roula Nahas created the dreamy line of paRs charms. It has been almost a year and we are still being infected by the immense enthusiasm and empowerment that a little charm can radiate. Last Saturday, we were treated to a beautiful brunch that reminded us that some words will benefit our journey in a little way while others might bring us closer to our own sense of purpose but the real magic will only unfold if we decide to Make it Happen!

Last Night in Beirut: La Rose de Sim Opening

Last night we were heading to Zalka-Beirut to presence what we already knew was going to be a great night for our friend Rajaa. It was the official opening of his shop: La Rose de Sim. It was his invitation to step into a time machine and go back to iconic times. Before even walking into the shop, you get a hint that the designs are inspired by the Lebanese tradition and heritage. There are a wide range of purses that come in all sizes and portray different attractive visuals. Just as the name of the brand, every creation has a story that is bound to touch your heart.

On the Wall

While walking down the streets of Beirut, you always get to see certain messages on the walls. Vandalism? Freedom of Speech? Opinions differ. Bridal Boutique Opening: Something Blue

From the moment we went up the stairs, we felt we were up to something new. We were heading to Something Blue. Yesterday afternoon, we were pleased to attend the opening of the newest bridal boutique in town. The contrast of its beautiful architectural heritage and the modern feel of the rooms definitely left an impression. The new boutique carries a collection of gowns by five different New York based designers amongst them Rafael Cenamo and Ann Barge. It also provides a range of delicate head pieces and bridal image consulting sessions as explained by Cynthia Nakhle, owner and creator of the boutique’s concept. While sipping champagne and eating macarons, we enjoyed knowing that a new store is now offering brides beautiful dresses at affordable ranges while most importantly wishing them lots of luck!

Our Best Friend’s Wedding

By this time of the year, you might have already been to a dozens of weddings. The odds are a neighbor, a colleague or a childhood friend tied the knot this summer. We certainly did have our share of dinner parties but last Sunday it was different. That one friend you really call your best: our Nanunti. Fashionable as ever, she walked down the aisle, married the love of her life and danced all night! We enjoyed every single moment. We had three phones and two cameras but by the end of the night all we were left with were clapping hands. It really might be true that the best moments of your life and of those you love can’t be photographed; you are just too busy enjoying them. Here are some of the pictures we managed to take.
